IV Nutrition
Nutrition is an essential daily requirement for everyone but sometimes medical circumstances may cause a person’s bowel or stomach to stop working and consequently the person is unable to eat food. This can occur in all ages; from preterm age through to the later years in life. In these circumstances nutrition is provided through a catheter which is inserted in a large vein in the chest or arm.
Biomed use international brands to provide IV nutrition to patients who are unable to eat, throughout New Zealand. We work with public and private hospitals to provide customised and standard intravenous (IV) nutrition for both adult and paediatric patients.
